SUPER POWER

Dave’s friends describe him as: fair, sharp, honest, creative, dependable, intuitive, sincere, loyal, and innovative, with exceptional people skills, but he hasn’t got x-ray vision.

SECRET IDENTITY

Dave loves to laugh out loud, but we don’t call him Laughing Boy.

Part of a mixed marriage—he’s a Vikings fan, she’s a Packers fan—they’re the proud parents of Maggie, who wrote the book for two full-length high school musicals.

Laughing Boy…er, Dave…denies that he’s the bird in our logo.

Dave is market savvy and
bottom-line oriented, with a
bloodhound’s nose for good
stories, great characters,
talented creators, and terrific
marketing angles.

He brings a wide range of experience to The Pack, from advertising and marketing to intellectual property development and day-to-day book and magazine production.

NOT-SO-SECRET IDENTITY

As the founding publisher of Malibu Comics, Dave helped launch Image Comics and was the primary architect of the marketing plan for Malibu’s Ultraverse imprint, an original universe of characters whose initial three titles sold more than 750,000 copies.

Dave also built the high-visibility, creator-owned comic imprints, Bravura and Gorilla Comics.

He has held positions at Marvel Comics, French publisher Humanoids, and the video-console gaming magazine, GameFan.
